Coldest night of season in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Dec 4: Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season as temperature plunged to minus 3.7 degree Celsius while Leh was the coldest place in the region as temperature dipped to minus 12 degree Celsius.
A Meteorological Department official said that the temperature across Kashmir and Ladakh will further plummet due to dry weather conditions.
The official said that Srinagar recorded a low of -3.7 degree Celsius against previous of -2.0 degree Celsius while day temperature settled at 13.5 degree Celsius.
He said that Qazigund in south Kashmir recorded a low of -2.8 degree Celsius against the previous of -2.2 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature in Qazigund settled at 12.8 degree Celsius.
Pahalgam resort recorded coldest night in Kashmir where mercury settled at -4.1 degree Celsius against the previous of -1.8 degree Celsius while maximum temperature settled at 14.9 degree Celsius. Kupwara in North Kashmir recorded a low of -2.8 degree Celsius against previous of -2.4 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature in Kupwara settled at 14.7 degree Celsius.
Gulmarg ski resort of North Kashmir recorded -3.0 degree Celsius minimum temperature against the previous of -2.0 degree Celsius while the day temperature settled at 6.6 degree Celsius. Leh recorded coldest night in Jammu and Kashmir where mercury plunged by several notches and settled at -12.0 against previous of -8.6 degree Celsius.
