JAMMU, Feb 12:  Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has felicitated people on the birth anniversary of Guru Ravi Dass Ji wishing them happiness and prosperity.
While flagging off a grand rally of devotees of Guru Ji here today, Omar Abdullah described Guru Ji a great reformer who has worked for the betterment of mankind particularly weaker sections of the society. He said the best way of paying tributes to Guru Ji is to strengthen amity and brotherhood between various sections of the society.
The Chief Minister said that the Jammu and Kashmir has been abode of great saints and sufis who have preached brotherhood and selfless service to the mankind irrespective of any consideration. He stressed the need on nurturing this trait and pluralistic ethos of the State.
The Chief Minister prayed for peace and progress of the State and the Country and welfare of the people.
Legislator and Provincial President National Conference, Jammu, Devender Singh Rana was also present on the occasion.
