JAMMU, Dec 7: The J&K Govt Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee (EWJAC) has urged upon the State Government to remove the pay anomalies in the grades of clerical cadre before the implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in the State.
In a meeting of the EWJAC held here today under the leadership of trade unionist, Babu Hussain Malik, the members expressed serious concern over the delaying attitude and resent remarks of the Finance Minister against the clerical cadre. They alleged that despite recommendations by the committee framed by the Government for this purpose and High Court directions in this regard, the Government has maintained criminal silence over the matter.
They strongly urged upon the Chief Minister to remove pay anomalies in the grades of clerical cadre, implement 7th Pay Commission report without any delay on the Central Govt pattern, enhance Medical allowance of employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, conduct DPC after every six months and regularize all the daily rated/ consolidated workers.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Ashok Singh, KA Dewani, Parshotam Sharma, Yash Paul Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Farida Bano, Jaswant Singh, Meenakshi, Seva Ram Rathore and Munish Sharma.
