Chauntra Mata pilgrimage arrangements discussed

RAMNAGAR, Mar 7: To discuss arrangements for smooth conduct of  Shri Chauntra Mata Annual Pilgrimage during coming Navratras starting from  March 31, a meeting of Tehsil Officers and Akhand Jyoti members was held under the chairmanship of Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Dhirendra Sharma here today.
Threadbare discussions were held on arrangements like drinking water, power supply, security, first-aid, transport and sanitation at the shrine site and en-route.
Tehsildar directed the officers concerned to put in their best efforts in making available safe drinking water to pilgrims besides uninterrupted power supply.
The police would ensure security arrangements. He also asked the officers of PWD and Rural Development Department to initiate necessary repair on link road, footpath and stairs leading to the shrine for the comfortable pilgrimage.
The Akhand Joyti would be lit on first day of Navratra at Narsingh Ji Temple in Ramnagar town and would remain there for darshan till April 5, 2014 and would be carried to Chountra Mata Darbar on April 6, 2014 morning in a procession of devotees chanting religious hymns.
