NEW DELHI, Sept 22: Chana prices fell by another 0.43 per cent to Rs 5,953 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators engaged in trimmed their positions, driven by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in October contracts declined by Rs 26, or 0.43 per cent to Rs 5,953 per quintal with an open interest of 28,840 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in November shed Rs 6, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 5,975 per quintal in 28,550 lots.
Analysts said cutting down of positions by traders on the back of easing demand in physical market against adequate stocks position, mainly kept chana prices down at futures trade. (PTI)
