NEW DELHI, Jan 30: Castorseed prices firmed up by Rs 43 to Rs 4,240 per quintal in futures trading today due to speculators buying, driven by spot and global markets demand.
Marketmen said rising demand in spot and overseas markets mainly advised speculators to enlarge their positions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for near March contract spurted by Rs 43, or 1.02 per cent, to Rs 4,240 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,07,380 lots.
Most active February contract climbed up by Rs 41, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 4,168 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,34,230 lots. (AGENCIES)
