Army chief has rightly honoured Maj Gogoi for handling a difficult situation as field commander with perfect presence of mind to save the civilian poll staff on duty and to save his own men performing duty in a higher risk zone when the mob was turning violent and had thrown a petrol bomb on army team. He acted beyond the call of duty, used the leading stone pelter as human shield to successfully wriggle out of the highly sensitive situation with no loss of human lives. He saved the lives of about two dozen people with this kind of onsite improvisation. The extraordinarily innovative action of illustrious Maj. Gogoi is indicative of highest level of military leadership in the world strengthening the trust of one and all that the Nation is in the safest hands. He has set a benchmark for upcoming generation of Indian soldiers. The whole of India is united and bubbling with national pride to pay heartiest salutations to the dare-devil soldier for upholding the prestige of not only the Indian army but the invincible Nation.
This may be a small daring deed of an Indian soldier during the course of counteracting the anti-national activities of the over ground workers of the trans-border terrorists and branded pro Pak separatists working in unison to keep Kashmir boiling and India perpetually bleeding but it sets the trend for doctrine of Nation first and flashes a silver lining of the rising new India. It also heralds a paradigm shift in over all political scenario of the country where high profile decision making is gaining momentum enkindling a spark of definite hope and unflinching faith in the leadership to take on the heady challenges of cross border terrorism together with Red terror and the gangrene type Kashmir imbroglio. Bold action of MajGogoi has also exposed the peaceniks, designer politicians, branded pro Pak separatists and other anti-national elements actively supporting the cause of Pakistan from within India. They are belittling and ridiculing the action of army brave heart proclaiming it as inhuman, violative of human rights as well as the tenets of Vienna convention. Sooner or later they will get subdued and subjugated.
