JAMMU, Jan 28: To observe National Cleanliness Day and promote the traditional folk culture and aware the masses of J&K State, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 140th Musical Play “Swachh Bharat” in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu.
The programe was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Tara Singh Charak and Dr Anju Dogra from Health Department was the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion Dr Charak lauded the role of Sansthan (NGO) for staging such plays in all parts of the State to generate awareness among the masses about various social evils through Musical Play, Folk Theatre and Drama which are still very powerful medium of communication.
“Swachh Bharat” musical play has been written, produced and directed by M L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS and music composed by Raju Bajgal, music instructor of BLSKS.
Welcoming the dignitaries Dr Anju Dogra explained aims and objectives of the programme and “Swash Bharat” as slogan emerged by all the saints, politicians and great souls to “Clean India”, which means that, we should by hygienically mentally and physically clean.
Earlier welcome address was given by M L Dogra, who said a clean environment is a pleasure to live in. It is the duty of all to keep the environment clean and healthy. National Cleanliness Day is observed on January 30th in India.
The dignitaries urged upon trainees and artists of the organization to lead the Nation in making India “Neet and Clean” and also highlighted the event to promote “Swachh Bharat Mission”. So far the BLSKS has presented more than 130 Programs and covered 5 districts of Jammu province.
The artists who performed in the musical play were M C Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Kuldeep Raj, Ritesh Magotra, Rajni Gupta, Renu Saproo, Pooja Gupta, Tilak Raj, Vandana Gupta, Sant Das, Shan Khan, Rakshit Sharma, Ayush Bhat, Dhruv Pandit, Afroz Raz Khan, Deevam Jandiyal, Sonu Gupta, Sunil Kumar, Rahul Raina and many others.
