JAMMU, Apr 23: Due to sudden fault at Janipur Grid Station, several areas plunged into darkness.
As per sources, a fault occurred at around 11:30 pm in Janipur Grid Station, due to which the power supply to various areas including New Plot, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Pomposh Colony, Janipur Colony, Tali Morh, Sarwal, etc got snapped.
However, the exact reason of the black out could not be ascertained due to darkness and employee of PDD were on the job to restore the power supply, when last reports were compiled.
“It will take time to restore the power supply due to some fault at Janipur Grid Station”, a PDD official said on the condition of anonymity.
