JAMMU, Feb 23: Adding one more facility in the Party Headquarters for convenience of its activists and the public, BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma, along with State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, BJP Library & E-Library Incharge K.B. Mohtra, Co-Incharge Tilak Raj and senior leaders inaugurated the library and Sale Counter at its Trikuta Nagar office. A large number of party activists were present on the occasion.
Sat Sharma, while dedicating the library to great leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and a social activist Nanaji Deshmukh, said that it has been equipped with the literature related to the birth, history and growth of BJP, publications on the lives of great ideologues, party veterans, social reformers, historic agitations, besides magazines and journals published from different organizations, including those of BJP at the national level and in the State. The library will provide an appropriate place where the party activists and the general public can sit and get the books for study.
Sat Sharma said that the party has also opened Sale Counter where the party activists can purchase the books, publicity material and the photographs of national leaders as well as variety of other items carrying the symbol of the party. He expressed hope that the library and the Sale Counter will prove to be beneficial for the party activists and the public.
Ashok Kaul, while speaking on the occasion, said that State BJP has achieved the distinction of being the second unit of the party in the country to have its own well equipped library adding that the first one was setup in Chhatisgarh last year and inaugurated by National president Amit Shah. He said that the objective of setting up of library is to provide facility of getting the books having material which could add to the knowledge of the party activists and the general public.
