Excelsior Correspondent

MENDHAR, July 7: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar Javed Rana has said that the BJP/ PDP rule will always be remembered as the darkest period in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, as this alliance only added miseries to people’s suffering.
Speaking at an impressive function organised by local unit of the party in connection with upgradation of MS Basreela to High School at Kasbalari, Rana said that both these parties owe an apology to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for compromising their interests and always kept their personal interests above the larger interest of the people on every front, be it development, governance, security of the citizens of the State.
Rana said that the unholy alliance has posed a big challenge for N C to restore people’s faith in Parliamentary democracy. He also said that the current situation of alienation and hopelessness was a gift of the failed alliance and it pushed the State into the instability.
Javed Rana further said that the Governor must ensure that BJP doesn’t involve in horse trading as news is being circulated that some of the disgruntled MLAs of the PDP are in favour of formation of the Government. BJP has always played cheap politics and is master when it comes to horse trading. Governor must insure that the sanctity of this House remains intact and people’s trust is maintained.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Majeed Ch, Abdul Khaliq, Mohd Sayeed, Bagh Hussain, Mohd Hafeez, Abdul Khaliq Jatt, Mohd Shafiq Lambardar, Bashir Ahmed, Zaffer Nadeem, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohd Haneef.
