“Beti Toh Vardaan Hai” staged at Police Auditorium

JAMMU, Jan 28: “Beti Toh Vardaan Hai” a Hindustani play conceived, written and Directed by Bodh Raj Meania was presented in Ladies Cultural Evening at Police Auditorium Jammu.
The Cultural Evening was organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K Jammu. The First Lady Usha Vohra was the chief guest on the occasion who has highly appreciated the performance.
The Auditorium was jam-packed by the eminent audience. There was a great cry and clapping on every movement of the play. It was observed  that every one present in the hall enjoying the play. Director General Naveen Agarwal  appreciated the afforts of the director.
The play was based on social evil, it has been depicted in the play the birth of girl child is not being welcomed in the society. The story of the play revolved  around a lady who is going to deliver a child and mother in law compelled her to deliver a son not a daughter.
The artist who performed the role included Bindu Bhardwaj, Amrita Devi, Archna Sharma, Arti Devi, Shallu Sharma, Bandana Devi, Amrita Bhagat,  Minakshi Devi, Meenu Sharma  are the students of GMS Thalora, Zone Majalta  (Udhampur). Beside it Shama Choudary acted as Bahu and Samaj Sevika where as Rajni Bhatti acted as Dadi.  Music by Romesh Parwana, Make up by M.Akram Khan who was the art director also and Costume by Ritu Gupta & Rama Gupta.
