Be regular in depositing monthly instalments: Balbir

JAMMU, June 2: The unemployed members of SC, ST and BC categories from Reasi and Udhampur districts of Jammu Division have been granted loan for setting up of their small units of dairy, garments shop, general provision store, sweet shop/ tea stall, etc.  in their respective areas and earn livelihood.
A total of nine people were handed over Payment Authority Letters (PALs) by Jammu & Kashmir  Scheduled Castes (SCs) , Scheduled Tribes (STs) & Backward Classes Development Corporation, Vice-Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, along with FA/CAO Mohammed Yaseen, General Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, Udhampur District Manager, Chuni Lal Verma, Reasi District Manager, Sat Pal Sajgotra and HO Junior Assistant, Raj Kumar.
Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while interacting with these beneficiaries, asked them to ensure that the loaned money is utilized by them in proper way and the desired earning unit is established without wasting any time.
He said that every beneficiary should remember about the timely return of the loaned money on monthly instalments as the same would be provided to other unemployed people of their communities in helping them to become self dependent too by starting own work.
He also advised them to educate others about welfare schemes of the Corporation meant for their socio-economic upliftment.
The beneficiaries included Subash Chander, Onkar Singh, Mukhtiara Biwi, Abdul Latif and Sheema Bibi from ST category, Vinod Kumar, Rajinder Kumar and Angrez Chand from SC category and Mohammed Hanief from BC category.
