BBIA deputation calls on MoS

JAMMU, Feb 15: Minister of State for Power, Technical and Information Department, Vikar Rasool today said that the power connections of the regular bill paying industrial units and other such consumers will not be snapped.
The Minister was speaking during interaction with Bari-Brahmana Industry Association led by its President Anil Suri here today.
Vikar said that the Government is well aware of the fact that the industrial sector is fully dependent on the power supply and all necessary logistic support would be provided to it so that J&K come up as an industrially developed State.
The deputation also raised the issue of rationalization of consumer categories, snapping of power to the industrial units on account of non-payment of outstanding bills, procurement of key material from local industrial units, R-APDRP scheme, power infrastructure improvement in industrial areas and disconnection notice issued to the industrial units etc.
The Minister assured the deputation all their genuine demands would be looked into.
