Barve, Sopori call on Governor

SRINAGAR, July 26: Sushobha Barve, Executive Secretary, Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation (CDR), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhawan here today.
Barve briefed the Governor about the inter-community dialogues being conducted by the Centre in Leh, Jammu and Kashmir regions for building trust through continuing talks, dialogue and discussions. She also informed the Governor about their ‘Youth Leadership Programme’ which was launched to engage youth, particularly of the conflict affected areas and inculcate in them leadership qualities for overcoming the challenges to peace and stability.
Governor urged Barve to take all possible initiatives for counselling youth to dispel varied influences which thwart their ambitions and come forward to play a positive role in building the future of the State.
Pt. Bhajan Sopori, Member, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) also called on Governor.
Besides, discussing certain issues relating to the ongoing Shri Amarnthji Yatra the Governor and Pt. Sopori exchanged views on various possible initiatives for enlarging the prospects of youth and imbuing the obtaining environment with a systematically visible positive fervour.
