JAMMU, July 26: The Government today directed that every public servant would submit Annual Returns of the Assets held by him/her and their family members in the month of January every year to the Prescribed Authority.
The Prescribed Authority for the KAS officers will be the General Administration Department (GAD).
“In terms of Rule 3 of Jammu and Kashmir Public Servants Declaration of Assets and other Provisional Rules, 1998, the Annual Property Returns shall be submitted by the public servants in duplicate on the prescribed Performa in respect of all the assets possessed by him and his family members which shall include the assets in respect of movable property, the value of which exceeds Rs. 20,000,” an official handout said.
It added that all the KAS officers/ Junior Scale KAS officers and Under/Private Secretaries to the Government, who have not submitted their APRs for the year 2016 till date are advised to furnish their Annual Property Returns for the year 2016 to the General Administration (Vigilance) Section by or before August 15, failing which action as warranted under rules shall be taken against them.
Even their vigilance clearance shall also be with held, if they failed to do so, the handout cautioned.
