JAMMU: To connect more people with the Cable Network System in Jammu region, Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat launched another Cable Network under the name and style “Time-N-Tune (TNT) at Talab Tillo here today.
Initially the network has been launched with a package of 350 plus channels, including 16 local channels comprising news, entertainment, regional languages like, Dogri and Kashmir. Gradually the number of channels and services will be enhanced as per the entire satisfaction of the viewers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that this is another step towards empowering the masses and promoting the Digital India concept, which is the mission of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He congratulated the owner of the company, Mr. Paras Magotra and his team for venturing in the field of entertainment and knowledge and hoped that large number of people will have the reach of knowledge through the medium of news, entertainment and cultural related events. He called upon the management to focus on quality of programmes as per the requirements and expectations of the viewers.
Appreciating the role of media for enlightening the masses about the day-to-day events, the Minister said that the 4th pillar of democracy is flourishing fast in the country and playing its role as per the mandate. He wished the management all success in its future journey.
Briefing about the venture, Mr. Paras Magotra said that initially the reach of the company will be within the Jammu urban and gradually it will be extended to towns and rural areas across the Jammu region. He said that main focus will be on quality programmes as per the taste of the viewer. He said the management will endeavor to promote the local heritage, cultural and languages and try to attract more and more viewers in its ambit.
Several prominent personalities and media persons including, Mr. Prabodh Jamwal, Editor-in-Chief, Kashmir Times Group were present on the occasion.
