JAMMU, June 2: Large number residents of Bahu Fort locality today held protest against Public Health Engineering Department alleging scarcity of drinking water in their locality for the last two months.
Protestors, including women and children, raised slogans against the PHE Department for failing to provide clean and potable water to the area.
They alleged that callous approach of PHE Department has virtually forced them to drink contaminated water.
They demanded restoration of water supply as soon as possible and threatened for agitation if demand was not fulfilled.
Those who were present in the protest include Ajay Goswami, Amar Goswami, Bablu Kumar, Amit Pajgotra, Raju and Sonu.
