JAMMU, July 27: Lok Jagriti Manch, (LJM) Badyal Brahmana, R S Pura held a protest rally, called as Swasth Adhikar Rally, which started from Panchayat Ghar, Badyal Brahmana and culminated at Primary Health Center, Badyal Brahmana, today.
The Swasth Adhikar Rally was organised to warn the administration to reinstate the basic facilities like medical tests, x-rays apparatus, genset, ambulance facility etc, in the Primary Health Center. Addressing the rally, Vishal Sharma, said that the new building of PHC was constructed since January 2012, but since then basic facilities are not provided to the local people of Badyal Brahmana.
While concluding the rally march a consensus was made that if the administration will not fulfil our demands we will march towards R S Pura and next time demonstration will be held in front of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, in R S Pura.
The main demands pertained to immediate start of laboratory tests mentioned on the notice board, X-Ray machine and genset and ambulance facility in the hospital, immediate provision of sanctioned staff and that the hospital should remain open for 24 for the local people.
The upgradation of the hospital according to the needs of growing population was also demanded.
The rally was attended by more than 250 people.
