Azad, Soz assure overall development of Ladakh

LEH, July 26: Opposition leader in Rajya Sabha and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and PCC president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz addressed convention of Congress party workers here.
While speaking, both the leaders urged the workers not to be complacent and work hard for total success of the Congress party candidates in the ensuing elections to the J&K Legislative Assembly 2014.
They stressed the fact that from Jawahar Lal Nehru to Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and present leadership Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, each one of them had contributed greatly to the overall development of Ladakh region.
They reminded the people of Ladakh that it is the Congress party which had achieved the present day spectacular development for the people of Ladakh, in every sphere of life.
Azad and Soz further told the gathering that they would also do which needs to be done for development of Ladakh. They told them that it is the UPA Government at the Centre that had provided adequate funds for Z-Morh Tunnel and Zojila Tunnel and it is the Congress party that commits itself to get a Tunnel constructed at Khardungla to connect Nobra Valley with Leh.
Among others, who spoke were Rigzin Jora, P Namgial, T Samphel, Rigzin Gialson, Dorjee, President Mahila Congress Leh, Mohammad Shafi, general secretary PCC and Youth Congress President.
Around 40 block presidents, Sarpanchs, Panchs and Mahila leaders also spoke on the occasion and assured Ghulam Nabi Azad and Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz that Congress Party in Ladakh region would certainly come upto their expectations.
