JAMMU, Oct 2: An auto driver was attacked with sharp edged weapon by another auto driver here in Nowabad area.
According to a police spokesman, two auto drivers namely Tarsem Lal of Tirlokpur and Romi of Bakshi Nagar engaged in a scuffle over carrying of a passenger and in a fit of rage the former attacked the latter with a sharp edged weapon (kirch).
In the attack, Romi got injured. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In this connection, a case under relevant sections was registered at Nowabad police station and efforts were on to nab the accused, who was at large after committing the crime.
