Srinagar, Mar 26: Police booked a doctor and a patient after the latter assaulted a doctor and other hospital staff following a botched up surgery.
A patient Abdul Rashid Bhat beat up Dr Misbah two days ago in Budgam district hospital after a botched up surgery was done in the hospital.
The surgery was carried by a surgeon in District Hospital Budgam two months ago for removing a kidney stone and later a USG confirmed that the stone was not removed at all.
The patient after learning about botched up surgery beat up Dr Misbah who was on duty. Dr Misbah said that he had not performed the surgery on the patient, Abdul Rashid Bhat, with whom the scuffle took place in Budgam District Hospital on Tuesday.
“I have not performed the surgery on the patient. I am an In-charge RMO in the hospital and was trying to pacify the patient and his attendants when they had come with their complaint. But the patient and his attendants beat me up when I had nothing to do with the surgery,” Dr Misbah told Excelsior.
