JAMMU, July 8: Association of Timber Industries (ATI), Jammu today boycotted the auction of timber in protest of new pattern of auction.
In a press release issued here, ATI Jammu, said that the Chief General Manager of State Forest Corporation wanted to conduct the auction of timber in a new pattern wherein all taxes would be charged separately while in earlier practice of auction all taxes were included in the auction price.
“In protest of this new pattern of auction, all the members of ATI Jammu boycotted the auction to be conducted by Forest Department”, the release said.
