SRINAGAR, Jan 4: All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) today expressed concern over the interference of some of the fanatic religious groups in the religious affairs of the minorities especially the Sikh community and warned of stir.
APSCC chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said, “these fanatic religious groups belonging to the majority community in the country are un-necessarily poking their nose in the religious affairs of Sikh community”. He said that such acts are detrimental to the interests of people living in India.
“Across the globe India is known for its religious tolerance and compassion. Leaders cutting party lines have been hailing the rich secular ethos of this country. Tolerance for all the religions has over the years been considered a significant feature of Indian society. However, of late some of the fanatic religious groups are hell-bent on causing damage to the secular fabric of the country,” said Raina.
