REASI, Mar 16: The employees of Animal Husbandry Department from district Reasi have resolved to go on pen down strike from March 17.
In a meeting of the Employees Association of district unit, Reasi of the department held under the chairmanship of Shounk Ali (president) and Satpal Singh -vice president, the employees expressed serious concern over the non-payment of their salaries for the month of February. They pointed out that Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Reasi is ailing for the last several weeks and is undergoing treatment outside the State. The LDO deputed by the Govt at Reasi has not joined. The salary of the employees of the district has not been released so far.
It was decided in the meeting to go on strike from tomorrow ( March 17), as the concerned authorities have not bothered to take cognizance of the matter even though the issue was bought to their notice.
