POONCH, May 21: A large number of Anganwadi workers and helpers from Mankote, Balakote and Mendhar tehsils held strong protest demonstration at Sub Divisional headquarters Mendhar today.
The women workers of ICDS projects, from various Aganwadi centres assembled at main chowk Mendhar during the day and held strong protest from 1 pm to 3 pm. They also disrupted the movement of traffic on the road. They were shouting slogans demanding release of their 9 months wages, hike in their wages besides conduct of DPC. Later, they moved to the office of SDM and submitted a memorandum to him.
