AMCCC delegation calls on Governor

JAMMU, Jan 5: All Migrant Camps Coordination Committee, led by its President, Desh Rattan Pandita, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The Committee apprised the Governor about various issues confronting the Kashmiri Pandit community and requested removal of all encroachments on the lands belonging to the Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley; release of ex-gratia for houses gutted and damaged in early 1990s in the Valley; enhancement in the relief amount from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per family, special healing touch policy for Kashmiri Pandits  who got overage, by sanctioning Rs 50 lakh to start their own businesses; reservation of quota  in KAS and IAS; political reservations for all minorities; a Government job for every family; waiving off loans up to Rs 3 lakh for KPs and other  minorities; early resolution of their cases pending in Civil Secretariat and Relief Organization; a Mini Secretariat for Kashmiri Pandits instead of Relief Organization and creation of a fully functional Engineering Wing in Relief Organization, Jammu.
The Governor observed that he will discuss the delegation’s demands with the State Government.
