Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha holds General Council meet

JAMMU, June 10: Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, J&K organised its General Council  meeting at Raj Tilak Bhawan,  Purani Mandi  here today.
The general body meeting was held  under the chairmanship of  Narayan Singh, president of the Sabha. Almost all the General Council members, working committee members, advisors to the Sabha and special invitees attended the meeting.
The main agenda of the General Council meeting was to approve the  income and expenditure accounts for the year 2017-18 of  “Shri Amar Kshatriya Sabha, Charitable Trust, Raj Tilak Bhawan Purani Mandi Jammu and Shri Amar Kshatriya Sabha Educational and Charitable Trust Raj  Tilak Bhawan Purani Mandi Jammu”  and also budget estimates for the year 2018-19 in respect of both the Trusts, celebration of birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh  falling on September 23, 2018 and organizational matters.
The budget estimates for the year 2018-19 and income and expenditure accounts for the year 2017-18 were debated/discussed in detail by all the members of General Council of the Sabha. After detailed discussion the receipt and expenditure accounts for the year 2017-18 and budget estimates for the year 2018-19 in respect of both the Trusts were passed and approved by all the General Council  with voice vote and by raising  hands.
The General Council members were also made aware that financial assistance amounting to Rs 2,50,000  was made to 84 widows and similarly scholarship amounting to Rs 2,00,000 was distributed among 41 candidates approved for scholarship by the Sabha. The Sabha also helps the daughters of widows on their marriage in collaboration with Rajput Charitable Trust.
The General Council members expressed their resentment against the J&K Government for not declaring gazetted holiday on “birth anniversary of Late Maharaja Hari Singh  (The last Ruler of J&K State) which falls on  September 23 each year.
Rajput Sabha demanded that State Govt must concede demand of Jammuites   at the earliest.
Prominent members of General Council among those who spoke on the occasion were-  Jagdish Singh, Cap Kulveer Singh Bandral, Raj Kumar,  Nand Lal, Lakhvinder Singh, Surinder Singh,  Kartar Singh Jasrotia,  Capt Inder Singh Sambyal, Pawan Singh Chib, MS Katoch-Advisor, MS Jamwal Retd Chief Engineer – Advisor, PS Bhardwaj (Retd Judge) Vice Chairman Educational and Charitable Trust Raj Tilak Bhawan Purani Mandi, Jammu.
