AIKPC expresses concern over deteriorating situation in Valley

JAMMU, May 12: All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC) has expressed grave concern over deteriorating situation in Kashmir valley and accused both State and Central Governments of their total failure to tackle the situation.
The AIKPC which held a meeting here, today under the leadership of its president Hardi Nath Jatu said if corrective measures are not taken forthwith to deal with the sensitive and explosive situation, the Wahabis and Jehadis are likely to overpower and overshadow the moderate peace constituency in the Valley.
Jatu said that there seems to be no clear cut policy on the issue as the situation is going from bad to worse with every passing day. He said it is as such, it is imperative for both the Governments to involve people belonging to various shades of opinion to contribute towards restoration of peace in the State.
Jatu said KPs being the prime stakeholders , living in exile for more than 27 years also need to be involved alongwith peace constituency of the Valley so that long lasting peace is restored in the State.
Kuldeep Pandita president Youth Wing AIKPC emphasized that Government should take effective measures to curb Wahabi Jehadis on one hand and involve well meaning and peace loving people including KPs on the other hand for restoration of composite culture.
M K Raina , general secretary AIKPC, Rajinder Kilm its vice president, M L Raina, M L Misri, Kuldeep Kangroo, Avtar Krishan Raina, Sardar Bittu Singh, Rakesh Suri, R L Tickoo and others addressed the meeting.
