ADKUF expresses doubts over Govt’s rehabilitation policy

JAMMU, Apr 12: Executive Body meeting of “All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum”  (ADKUF) was held under the leadership of D.N Kissu chairman of the Forum here today.
In his address Kissu said that no doubt the Centre has approval the construction of Government transit accommodation for the displaced community at different places in the Valley, but the resolution has evoked mixed reaction in the community. The State and the Central Government is not yet sincere regarding the return of Kashmiri Pandits at one place as all the declaration so far meant only for the recitation and not for the implementation, he added.
P.L Sudeshi president of the Forum appealed the Central Government to give minority status to the Kashmiri Pandits at earliest. Prof.G.L.Koul, advisor of the Forum stressed the need of the time to provide government jobs to those young talented and educated youth who are at the verge of over age. He also demanded that the M Forms be deleted and migrants be allowed to cast vote as per the voter lists so that the maximum participation of community is ensured in elections.
P.N.Raina general secretary of the Forum lambasted the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department for not providing ration on APL card till date.
Dr.Ball Jee criticized  the State Government over delay in passage of Temples and Shines Bill. He requested all the political parties to support the same. He also supported the ousting of Rohingya settlers from the State.
M.L.Koul said that the State Government should allot the quarters to those displaced families who are living in the rented accommodation without any further delay. Among others who were present in the meeting were B.N.Bhat, C.L.Zutshi, C.L.Koul, Mrs.Phoola Ji,  Ranjana and others.
