Accused of forging letters of External Affairs Minister arrested

REASI, July 14: Solving the sensational forgery and cheating case, Police has arrested the accused person, who was managing helicopter tickets from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board by making forged letters of the Office of Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj and then selling these tickets in black.
District Police Reasi solved cheating & forgery case of P/S Katra by arresting one accused identified as Sandeep Koul, son of Pran Nath Koul of Channi, Sector No 04, Jammu.
A case FIR No. 69/2017, under section 420/ 468 RPC was registered at Police Station Katra after the attempt of securing helicopter tickets from Shrine Board by forwarding a forged letters of the office of Minister of External Affairs, GoI, through Gmail, had come into.
Keeping in view the gravity of the issue, SSP Reasi Tahir Sajad Bhat constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT), headed by Sumir Kotwal, Addl SP Katra and comprising of Ashok Sharma SDPO Katra, Insp Arvind Samyal, SHO Katra, SI Mohd Ashraf and HC Mushtaq Hussain of Police Station Katra to trace out the culprits.
After hectic efforts and on the basis of technical inputs, provided by Gmail, accused was traced out and finally arrested, SSP Tahir Bhat said.
