JAMMU, Feb 3: Demanding that the FIR against Army men in Shopian be immediately withdrawn, activists of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad took out a protest march here today.
The protest march was taken out from Arya Samaj Mandir, Gandhi Nagar  and   the slogans shouting ABVP activists passed through Apsra Road route to Gandhi Nagar,  Gole Market Chowk.
They were also carrying banners and placards with the slogans in support of Indian Army.
The protest march was addressed  Sonali Vaid, Sairam, Rankaj Sharma, Anubhav Sharma,  Vidash Ddelmotra, Deepak Gupta and others, who  warned a massive agitation against the Government if FIR on Army men is not withdrawn.
Earlier, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad ,Jammu Vibhag  held a conference for the students at Arya Samaj Mandir, Gandhi Nagar,  in which student leaders from different campuses participated.
ABVP’s Zonal organizing secretary for Union Territories, Vikrant Khanderwal  was the chief guest and  main speaker  for the conference.  He mentioned the role of ABVP across the globe and its role in nation building with the help of  human  development.
“In present time when the thought of nationalism and patriotism is required to be floated amongst the students,  ABVP is working as a solution for that,” he said.
During the conference, a resolution was adopted for pressing Government to withdraw FIR  against Indian Army in Shopian.
Student representatives  from  different campuses, namely. Piyush Khajuria, Vishal Bhagat, Vikash Sharma, Tanvir Kour and  Shruti endorsed  the resolution, which was moved by Deepak Gupta ( State secretary, ABVP J&K). The said resolution  shall be submitted to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Those, who attended the conference and rally, included Ramneek, Sugash , Prateek,  Akash , Kuljeet,  Maheshvar, Vishal Chib, Anubhav Sharma, Raghvendra Choudhary , Ankit Kumar, Nandita,  Komal Singh , Ali Haider, Sahil Sharma, Abhishek Dutta, Kuljeet Singh, Harsh Khajuriya, Prabhu Dayal, Amrit Rathore, Vishal Pagotra, Shubham Langer, Sparsh Gupta, Akshit Baru, Nandita Sharma , Akshay Sharma , Sourabh Dhingra,  Deepak Sadotra, Harsh Sharma , Sahil Sharma, Sumit Aattiri and  Sunil Bhau.
