JAMMU, Apr 8: An abscon-ding thief, who was evading his arrest since long has landed into Gandhi Nagar police net.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2016.
The accused has been identified as Kehar Singh alias Sonu, son of Jhanda Singh, a resident of Digiana Ashram.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 23/2009 under Section 379 RPC with Police Station Gandhi Nagar. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Additional Session Judge Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
