JAMMU, Jan 11: An absconder, who was evading his arrest since long landed into the net of Gharota police.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gharota Police Station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Singh, son of Sat Paul, a resident of Dharochan.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 43/2007 under Section 341, 323 and 34 RPC with Police Station Gharota. The court has also issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gharota Inspector Gurmeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
