JAMMU, Feb 20: Bus stand police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Gurfan Khan, son of Mohammad Mushtaq of New Plot, he said, adding that he was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 39/12 under Section 307/34 RPC and was evading his arrest since long.
The court had already issued warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the accused.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Ravi Kant made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Vivek Shekhar and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
