JAMMU, Mar 9: Parade police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 15 years, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Ashwani Sharma, son of Ram Lal Sharma of Huran Kund Flowor Tehsil Marh District Jammu.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 233/2001 with Police Station Pacca Danga. Court has also issued arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC against the absconder.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Parade Police Post SI Vijay Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal, SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
