JAMMU, Feb 27: J&K Prajapati Sabha celebrated 694th jayanti of Sant Shri Gora Ji Maharaj here under the chairmanship of Sabha President Ayoudhya Kumar Manawa.
Large number of devotees from Jammu and other parts attended the function.
On the occasion, Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East was the chief guest, who paid floral tributes to the great saint.
The function started with arti, followed by bhajan and kirtan.
Prominent social workers of Prajapati Community from outside the State, who attended the function were Mahant Ram Muni Ji Maharaj (Haridwar Wale), Pritam Bhardwaj from Delhi, Dr Kiran Prajapati and others from Jaipur Rajasthan.
While speaking, Ayoudhya Kumar Manawa projected the issue of 27 per cent reservation to OBCs. He appealed to the Government to implement the recommendations of Mandal Commission in the State.
FC Satia, General Secretary of the Sabha presented the charter of demands, to which MLA assured early redressal.
Among others present were Jeet Singh Sangotra, Amar Chand, Madan Lal Baldotra, Darshan Lal, Punnu Ram, GR Dafaara, Ramesh Lal, etc.
