UDHAMPUR, June 7: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued six animals besides arresting the accused smuggler from Tikri area.
Based on information regarding illegal transportation of bovine animals, a Police party led by Incharge Police Post Tikri, SI Sanjeet Sharma, intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02CA- 2836. During the search, six bovine animals were found illegally loaded in this vehicle.
Police rescued the animals and arrested driver of the vehicle, identified as Murad Ali, son of Mohd Yousuf of Talab Tillo Jammu.
In this connection, Police registered a case FIR number 72/2018 U/S 188 RPC at Police Station Rehambal and also seized the vehicle.
