JAMMU, Apr 16: Five persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two youth identified as Anil (25) son of Mohan Lal, resident of Talab Tillo and Sunny Kumar (26) son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Gorkha Nagar (Bagh-e-Bahu) were injured when a bike on which they were travelling, got slipped at Batra Road.
A motorcyclist identified as Raghu (18) son of Rattan Lal, resident of Gho Manasa, sustained injuries when his bike got slipped at Gho Manasa. Similarly, a youth namely Rahul Sharma (25) son of Som Dutt, resident of Muthi, also received injuries when his speeding bike got slipped at Domail area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Jhajjar Kotli.
At Batehra on Jammu Akhnoor Road, a speeding bus hit a bike and injured its rider, who was identified as Kaku Ram (45) son of Nand Ram, resident of Manyal (Batehra).
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
