4 arrested with illicit liquor pouches

JAMMU, Mar 3: Gajansoo and Gangyal police arrested four persons and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Border Police Post Gajansoo laid a naka at Gajansoo chowk and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AA-9973.
During checking, police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of two persons riding on the motorcycle and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Parshotam, son of Sham Lal of Gajansoo and Kamal Kishore, son of Girdhar Lal of Karloop.
A case under FIR Number 25/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachak and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Gajansoo Police Post SI Vikrant Singh along with Head Constable (HC) Jung Bahadur made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Kanachack Inspector Neeraj Choudhary, SDPO Domana Sandeep Choudhary and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
Meanwhile, Gangyal police also arrested two persons and recovered 36 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession.
A case under FIR Number 16/18 has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
