RAJOURI, Mar 16: A Lok Adalat was held in District Court Complex here under the chairmanship of Inder Singh, Principal, District and Sessions Judge, Rajouri.
On the occasion, two benches were constituted. The first bench comprised of Inder Singh, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority and assisted by Rajinder Sapru, Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajouri, while the second bench comprised of Mehmood Choudhary, CJM Rajouri and assisted by Sarfraz Nawaz, District Judicial Mobile Magistrate Rajouri.
In the Lok Adalat, 9 MACT cases were settled and an amount of Rs 28,10,000 was awarded as compensation. Moreover, 27 cases of petty criminal nature were also settled and an amount of Rs 11000 was realized on spot.
