3 vital services of I&C Deptt brought under PSGA ambit: Kichloo

SRINAGAR, June 10: With a view to register new industrial units of the entrepreneurs within the specified time frame and to facilitate faster industrialization in the State, three important services of the Industries and Commerce Department have been brought under the ambit of Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) 2011.
The Single Window clearance mechanism is also being further revitalized to ensure faster clearance of cases regarding setting up of new industrial ventures on fast track basis.
Stating this here today, the Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Department, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo said that issuance of NDC for the purpose of employment within stipulated time frame of five days has also been brought under the PSGA. He said registration of new industrial units within 5 days after submitting application along with required documents has also been brought under the PSGA, adding that General Managers of the concerned DIC have been nominated as designated officers to provide these services. Likewise, formal registration of new industrial unit is to be issued by a designated officer within 15 days. He said check list for attaching documents with the application for having these services has already been notified.
He said concerned Joint Directors and  Directors of Industries and Commerce Department of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions  have been designated as first Appellate Authority and Second Appellate Authority respectively. He said basic objective of bringing these services under the PSGA is to ensure prompt response of the administration for clearing cases regarding setting up of new industrial units to mobilize as much investment as possible in the State.
