3 injured as car plunges into Chenab

KISHTWAR, June 9: Three persons were injured, when the Maruti car they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into river Chenab in Tamruchi-Dul area of the district.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02N-9386 was on its way from Aarji to Kawar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge, resulting into injuries to three persons.
After getting information, police team led by DySP Headquarters Nihar Ranjan and SHO Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jeelani rushed to the spot and shifted them to District Hospital Kishtwar, from where one of the injured persons was airlifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Badal Kumar (26), son of Bodh Raj, Ajay Kumar (24), son of Mangal Singh and Ashwani Kumar (30), son of Kewal Krishan, all residents of Kawar, district Kishtwar.
Kishtwar police has taken cognizance in this regards.
