JAMMU: At least 24 people were injured when the vehicles they were travelling in met with accidents in Doda and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A passenger taxi on way from Gundoh to Doda collided with another on way from Jammu to Kishtwar on Thursday morning in Pul Doda area of Doda district,” police here said.
They said nine people were injured in the mishap and they were admitted to the district hospital.
The injured were Asger Ali,37, son of Abdul Qayoom, Sayeda Begum,52, wife of Abdul Qayoom, Nadiya Kousar,18, daughter of Abdul Qyoom, all residents of Gundoh, Anil Kumar,39, son of Behari Lal, Sangita Kumari, 38, wife of Zoravar Singh, Zoraver Singh,42, son of Munshi Ram, Adiya Dev,4, son of Zoravar Singh, all residents of Kishtwar, Seela Devi,70, wife of Gulab Chand and Naresh Kumar,42.
In a separate incident, one bus on way from Jammu to Poonch skidded off the road at Kallar, Sector Chingus resulting which around 15 passengers sustained injuries.
Injured have been rushed to DH Rajouri, police said. (AGENCIES)
