UDHAMPUR, Oct 22: At least 21 persons were injured in three separate road accidents at Dhar Road Udhampur and Air Force Station Road in Udhampur here today.
According to police reports, a Tipper bearing registration number JK14E-7459 and a Mini Bus No.JK14B-9492 met head on collision near Daya Bagh, Dhar Road Udhampur this evening, causuiong injuries to at least 15 persons. Locals of the area and police shifted the injured persons to District Hospital, Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Reeta Devi (30), wife of Kewal Krishan of Ritti, Kuldeep Raj (40), son of Nathu Raj of Serwala, Madan Lal (45), son of Shiv LAL of Chunanta, Baldev Singh (52), son of Bindu Ram of Chanunta, Ajeet Singh (40), son of Dharam Chand of Ritti, Satpal (45), son of Duni Ram of Chanunta, Suram Chand (45), son of Anant Ram of Mandot, Sham LAL (45), son of Bansi Lal of Ritti, Anchal Singh (33), son of Sandokh Singh of Ritti, Rani Devi (40), wife of Jagdish Kumar of Chanunta, Jagdish (45), son of Lofu Ram of Chanunta, Kewal (32), son of Suram Chand of Kunalloh, Devi (65), wife of Ashok Kumar of Ritti, Makhana Devi (45), wife of Shankar Dass of Ritti and Surinder Kumar (44), son of Om Prakash of Chanunta.
Meanwhile, another road accident took place at Thanda Padder near industries estate. Two vehicles including Van No. JK14D-2267 and Auto Rikshaw No. JK02BS-1442 collided resulting the injuries to four people. Locals took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. They were identified as Rakesh Kumar (41), son of Makhu Ram of RS Pura, Nitish Verma (26), son of Vijay Kumar of Simbal Camp Jammu, Vikram (22), son of Kali Dass of Karowa, Shashi Kumar (24), son of Anil Kumar of Karowa. The Police registered a case and starts investigation.
Another road accident took place at Channi Morh, where two bikes collided causing injuries to the two persons. They are- Vinod Sharma (42), son of Yashpal of Chabutra, Udhampur and Som Raj (17), son of Om Parkash of Ward No. 17 Udhampur.
