2 villagers hurt in bear attack

UDHAMPUR, Dec 28:  Two villagers were injured in attack by a bear at village Ladda in Chenani tehsil of district Udhampur today.
Reports said that first incident took place when the elderly villager was returning home from the nearby forest area along with his  sheep and goats. The bear suddenly attacked the villager causing him multiple injuries.  The victim has been identified as Pritam Singh (60), son of Tej Ram, resident of Ladda.
A woman was also rendered injured by this bear at the same village in a separate incident in forest area. She was also grazing cattle. She has been identified as Bimla Devi, wife of Surjeet Singh. Both of them were removed to Chenani hospital and later referred to District Hospital, Udhampur.
