JAMMU, May 15: Two thieves arrested by Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu, a police official said.
The accused have been identified as Azad Ahmed Malik, son of Abdul Gani and Mohammad Amin Malik, son of Atta Mohammad, both residents of District Kulgam, Kashmir.
Stolen property worth Rs 70000 were also recovered on their disclosure, police official said, a case under FIR Number 5/17 under Section 379 and 411 RPC stands registered against them on April 22, 2017.
One of their associate namely Ajaz Ahmed Malik, son of Ghulam Mohammad Malik of Nowgam Kashmir is still at large and hunt was going on to arrest him.
“There are possibilities of more recoveries pertaining to other similar cases. Involvement of few more persons have surfaced during the sustained interrogations of the arrested accused persons and strenuous efforts are being made to arrest their accomplices”, police official added.
