KATHUA, May 2: Kathua police arrested two students of Rainbow Higher Secondary School for administering some poisonous substance to a school girl.
Police said an information was received from district Kathua through PCR that one 10th class girl of Rainbow Hr.Sec. School Kathua has been administered some poisonous substance by a student of same class in her food and has been admitted in District Hospital Kathua.
On the basis of the report Police Station Kathua immediately took cognizance of the case and registered a FIR No 122/2018 U/S 328 RPC and Police team from Police Station Kathua led by Dy.SP Headquarters S.S. Sambyal and SHO Kathua, Inspector, Anil Sharma immediately rushed to hospital and recorded the statements of the victim girl who disclosed that one of his classmates of village Patyari Nagri was harassing her over a month by using derogatory remarks and making phone calls.
On the basis of statements of the victim, the police party immediately visited the Rainbow Higher Secondary School, Kathua and after completion of legal formalities started hunt of the student and the same was held today. On his questioning the student confessing his crime disclosed that he was trying to have friendship with the victim girl for the last over a month but she was refusing all the time. He further disclosed that he along with one of his classmate hatched a conspiracy to teach a lesson to the girl. His classmate asked me that he knows a shop in Kathua from where poisonous drug can be purchased and can be administered to her by pouring in her meals.
Accordingly both the boys purchased unwholesome drug obnoxious to health and on may 1 when class was off he entered the classroom and bolted from inside and mixed that unwholesome drug in her cooked vegetable and came out. When the girl was taking her lunch in between she developed some pain and giddiness and became unwell. On her being unwell the school authorities took the girl to her home village Sajjanchak Kathua and seeing the serious condition of the victim girl the parents brought her to DH Kathua for treatment where her stomach was washed and the victim is now under treatment. The other boy was also held by the police who has held a conspiracy to execute the plan. On the confession of the duo Police recovered and seized the remaining administered drugs which were administered in the meal of the girl. Further investigation is going on.
