KATHUA, Sept 16: Three persons including a woman and a girl were killed when a mini-bus hit a motorcycle near Katal Gujrian Sherpur area, falling under the jurisdiction of Hiranagar Police Station.
As per police sources, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK08C-8974 driven by Ram Dass, son of Narsingh Dayal of Kootah with two pillion riders namely Anita Devi, wife of late Sanjay Kumar of Kootah and her daughter Pallavi was hit by the speedy mini bus bearing registration number JK02S-6875 coming from Rajpura Ghagwal to Sherpur Hiranagar at Katal Gujrian Sherpur in Hiranagar.
In the accident, the trio were critically injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared as brought dead.
The erring driver identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Sardar Chand, a resident of Nai Basti Jandi Hiranagar has been arrested.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the erring driver at Hiranagar Police Station and investigation was started.
