2 drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, July 8: RS Pura and City police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 11 grams heroin valuing around Rs 1,10,000 from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 6 grams heroin valuing Rs 60,000 from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Raj Kumar alias Joney, son of Bhadur Singh, a resident of Ward Number 7, RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 82/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Police team led by ASI Shadi Lal made the arrest under the supervision of SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
Meanwhile, a team from City Police Station also arrested a drug peddler and recovered 5 grams of heroin valuing Rs 50,000 from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Ayush Wakhloo, son of Anil Wakhloo, a resident of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 48/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station City and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO City Inspector Vishal Sharma and Incharge Residency Road Police Post SI Ashwani Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
